FAP Calendar Project

Filles à Papa must be one of my favourite upcoming Belgian brands. Most of that is due to its strong visual identity: rock’n'roll glam for sensual and strong young women. Founders Carol ans Sarah Piron have now taken that concept to the next level: a nude calendar, with shots by their house photographer Grégory Derkenne.

I think it was an asset to use some Belgian models you might come across in real life. To me especially Emily Jeanne and Layna Vancauteren were both fragile and powerful, gracious and sensual in their pictures. Well done, girls!

The clothing in the photo shoot was selected out of all the previous collections of Filles à Papa. It’s clear that even with nudes, clothing can make a difference.

This was the first edition of the FAP Calendar Project, but the Carol, Sarah and Grégory told me it certainly won’t be the last. Besides the calendars the ‘Filles’ also put the large prints at Alice Gallery for sale for the soft price of €3000.
