Mix & Match your own Fatboy Baboesjka

So last week I told you all about my trip to Dutch Design Week. But there’s one thing I still have to talk to you guys about: the Fatboy Baboesjka. You probably know Fatboy from their famous bean bags and/or hammocks, but there’s so much more to the brand than you probably know.

When I thought of Fatboy, I immediately associated the brand with the huge bean bags some old friends of mine used to have in their living rooms, and I didn’t actually pictured my (little) room having a big boy like that in it. But then, the people at Fatboy contacted us to see if we were interested to come and take a look at their new collection and more precisely: their new Fatboy Baboesjka.

- On the left: also a new product in the amazing new Fatboy collection: The CO9. As you can see, it’s a cute oversized “lounge bunny”. Perfect for a little nap for the kids…or for yourself ;).

- The launch event took place at Dutch Design Week, and the whole place was filled with cool Fatboy stuff. We took a coffee break at a cute ‘café’ somewhere in the building before the event and as you can see, these little Fatboy ‘pouffes’ looked soooo cute together! I think it’s a great idea for when you’re having a little home party with your friends.

With that all said, let’s get back to the point now. The Baboesjka is a mix & match ‘pouffe’ that fits perfectly as a lounge/zen spot in your bedroom or as a great seating spot for your friends in the living room. As you can see in the pictures, it consists of three separate pillows, stacked unto each other and strapped together so they form a layered, firm pouffe. Also, the Fatboy Baboesjka is the perfect partner in crime when you’re having unexpected guests, because when you lose the strap, 3 separate pillows appear.

To me, the absolute greatest thing about the the Baboesjka is the fact that it’s available in 8 different colors and prints, which makes it ideal to mix&match. In that way, it will fit perfectly in every interior. Visit their website and put together your own customized Baboesjka.

Originally, I wanted to go with the beautiful red/orange Baboesjka (the one you can see in the pictures and video), but since the room I wanted to put the pillow in is also red, I decided to go for aquamarine and taupe. The result is actually quite surprising! I didn’t get it on camera like I wanted too, so I took a photo of my Baboesjka in front of a white wall, but the combination of the red walls and greenish blue Baboesjka gives the room an exotic feel (maybe a liiiiiittle bit inspired by Deb’s place in my favorite TV series: Dexter). You might not think so when you see me walking around in dark outfits, but I actually do like colors ;).
I even use my Baboesjka on a daily basis now, for example at my desk when i’m working or studying. It is so much more comfortable than it actually looks. The firmness of the cushions is really a delightment for your back. I can easily spend hours on it, often comfortably cross-legged. Totally ZEN!

See you in my next post! And don’t forget to visit Fatboy’s website where you can find more info and pictures about the Baboesjka.
