What’s for dinner CPH?
It’s Friday night so let’s go out for dinner. These are the places I went for dinner in Copenhagen. Asian vs Italian.

I saw this place on my way to the Yelp friday bar. I really liked their branding so I made reservations for Saturday evening with my mom and her friend. Ok, I also really like asian food. I admit it.

The waiter explained that Hero is a japanese street kitchen restaurant, so you have to share the dishes. I really like these kind of concepts. This way you can try everything on the menu. Actually we almost tried everything. And it’s always a fun thing to do with friends or during a date. Because sharing is caring.

We had a great time at Hero and the food was really good! The sushi was fresh and tasty. I also really liked the duck. Actually the price was quite ok for Denmark. So if you want a nice evening out with friends in a great japanese interior, go to Hero. They also serve great cocktails and they have Hendrick’s gin.

Our last night we had dinner at Gorm’s. I read a lot of good reviews on Yelp about this place so I had to test it. They have several restaurants in the city and you can also buy a piece of pizza at their booth at the food market.

As a starter I tried the bruschetta, which was delicious. The bread was not too thick and didn’t have too much garlic on it either. You could taste that the tomatoes were very fresh.

This pizza was probably one of the best pizzas I’ve ever tasted. And I have travelled a lot in Italy. I always like a very thin pizza and this one had a special texture as well. I really recommend this place when you are in Copenhagen. Ok, it’s not your typical Danish dish but we live in a multicultural world so eating a pizza in the North is acceptable. ;-)
Hopefully I will have my posts about Stockholm ready by Tuesday evening. With a bit of luck I’ll post my first one this weekend during my stay in Berlin. If you have any tips for Berlin, let me know!
