Yelp CPH
Last weekend I was in the lovely capital of Denmark, Copenhagen. During my first day there I had the opportunity to get a personal tour of the city by Emilie, she is the community manager of Yelp CPH. She showed me the best shopping streets and some other hotspots. Later that night she invited me to the friday night Yelp event. Of course I went. We all know that Yelp events are a lot of fun.

I have to admit that I’m using Yelp more often, especially now that I’m traveling more often. Before I discovered Yelp I was more a Foursquare explorer. But this wasn’t always that reliable because of the lack of users/check-ins in Denmark. But the European Yelp community is growing. Besides the Yelp events are a great way to meet new people in a city when you are travelling by yourself. I met some people from NYC and two danish food bloggers, Anne & Agnes.

The event was at a cool jazz/cocktail bar called Glamourpuss . The thing I love about Scandinavia, besides that the people are so friendly, is their way of decorating. Even the smallest cafe has its personal touche. I have food post ready for you guys so don’t forget to check our facebook page for an update. The bartender made a special cocktail for me with gin. It was a bit bitter but a great taste. They had a lot of original cocktails, classic recipes with their own extra touch. Like this enormous ice cube !

So if you don’t have a Yelp account yet. Make one, I found some great places due to their app. Let me know what your experiences are with Yelp. By the way they have fan pages on facebook, don’t forget to like your favorite city.
Thanks Emilie for everything.
