The new and improved: Garde-robe Nationale
Good news if you enjoy a good Antwerp shopping spree from time to time, because our beloved womenswear boutique ‘Garde-robe Nationale’ has opened its doors again! Garde-robe Nationale is a respected store between the inhabitants of Antwerp (and far beyond) and it’s been in business for about 11 years now. That’s why Nathalie Lachat -the driving force behind the store- thought it was time the interior and brand portfolio could use a tidy up.
Nathalie Lachat has a big passion for fashion herself, since she’s also the designer of her own brand: Magdalena. She told us she finds it very important to offer her clients a good mix of young, promising talents but also established values. No wonder we think she’s such an amazing and inspiring woman, right?
The most important thing we love about the new Garde-Robe Nationale, is the excellent price-value ratio of everything she offers. It is not only a challenge to find promising brands, it seems even more difficult to find good quality at the right price.
The new Thao bottles were present too, yay!

We also notice her fondness for young talent by the choice of the architect who redesigned the whole store: Dieter Vander Velpen. He decided to split the space in two ‘zones’. Your enter in a white room and proceed to a warm wooden area where the fitting rooms are located. He didn’t ‘just’ came up with that, there’s a good story behind it too. The customer enters in a bright environment where the clothes are the centre of attention. The second part is a darker area where the costumer feels at ease because of the ‘loungy’ feel that comes with it.

Can you guess what my faaaaavourite item of the store was? I’ll give you a hint: it’s ssssssparklyyyyy.

See you in my next post!
