Antwerp Show 2012 : Women’s Collections

Boy oh boy, I had such a blast this year during the show of the Fashion Department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp.
I was more alert than during the other years, since Strutter View was asked to participate in a live tweet session with the hashtag #AntwerpFashion. It was a project in collaboration with influential Belgians in fashion Tiany Kiriloff, Veerle Windels and the local magazine De Nieuwe Antwerpenaar.
There was no time for me to be lazy, since I wasn’t only tweeting but filming too. I had so much material I decided to split the content into two videos. One for the women’s collections and one for the men’s (which will follow shortly). Check it out:

For the women’s collections, I had a special interest in the works of Ayako Shimada, Wali Mohammed Barrech and Marius Janusauskas. All three spoke to me on both a cognitive and emotional level. Don’t hesitate to comment below with your likes (or dislikes) of this year’s edition of the Antwerp Fashion Show!
