Frànçois & the Atlas Mountains
Indie folk-pop in French can easily turn cheesy, but Frànçois & the Atlas Mountains luckily didn’t fall into that trap. The concert during Les Nuits du Botanique was cute, but especially because of the two percussionists there was still enough body to their music.

Frànçois himself was cute too, as my friend Hugo (thanks for the ticket!) and I agreed. Everybody in the band was so aware of each other, which gave the performance a great harmony.

The Rotonde at the Botanique is a beautiful little concert hall. Everybody feels like he’s close to the stage.

The supporting act, the Belgian band Hoquets, was really cool as well. Make sure also to check out their site.
