Celebrating Easter with a photo shoot

On Easter monday I went with my cousin Emilie to ‘t Eilandje, a part of Antwerp near the harbor. My friend and fellow amateur photographer, Bart, came with us. Unfortunately the weather was horrible; no sun, a cold wind and rain. The plan was to have a photo shoot but the circumstances weren’t ideal.  We took some photos, but I wasn’t really in the mood to photograph due to the weather so I was really glad that Bart was there as well. It’s easier and more fun to take pictures when there is somebody to create ideas with. His photos aren’t online yet but I’ll post the link on our Facebook page as soon as I have it.

I photographed with my Canon 50D and the 50 mm 1.4 lens. This is my favorite lens! It creates so much depth and captures the light so beautifully. This is actually an old lens from 15 years ago. My dad used to photograph as well that’s why I have a few older lenses. I wonder how the new version of this lens works. Does anyone have one ?

Let me know what you think!

Julie
