The Big YOU

How can we say no to a pretty, pink UPR invitation, right? In fact, it was the first time we got invited to a UPR event and of course, we were very thrilled! The lovely people who organized the event stayed mysterious and obviously wanted to make us curious: mission accomplished! Unfortunately I had to work and Julie was in class till 4 so we arrived a little late. If we only knew we were missing all that fun… But things are what they are and will be what they will be, and we almost literally came barging in when the Kipling bingo game was going on. However, we came just right on time and we still had the chance to join the game.

As you can see in our movie, the brands offered us the opportunity to interact with them. It wasn’t just an informational, passive press day and that’s why we loved this event so much. Strutter View is all about doing things our way and interacting with things we like.

We didn’t win one of the pretty Kipling X Style Scrapbook camera bags but we did get an helpful M.A.C session. Now we finally know how to do a Smokey Eye like a M.A.C pro. We will devote another blog post on that later.

Afterwards, we only had little time to see the other brands and we made our own customized Illy coffee tin. Julie came up with the great idea to make one for her dad, because it was his birthday that day. By all means, he was very surprised and happy with his personalized gift. I made one with a sweet message to my boyfriend (who regularly tends to steal MY coffee). At the end of the day, Julie finally wanted to try on her favorite Swatch watch and guess what… she’s hooked!

By the way, the music in our video is my favorite Yeasayer song. Being the music lover that i am… i absolutely couldn’t resist to give you guys a little more music to love.
