Love Fests

I was really feeling the love last days. I attended two film festival in Belgium, of which the first is the Festival International du Film d’Amour de Mons.
The FIFA Mons presented a Brazilian film called O Abismo Prateado (The Silver Cliff) by Rodrigo Teixeira. The Brazilian Embassy was invited so my boss, his husband and I had the opportunity to combine work with pleasure.

The movie really pulled me into its story. A woman is left by her husband without any warning and ends up wandering through the streets of Rio de Janeiro at night.

Yesterday I went to another film festival with the same people. This time it was the Strangelove LGBT Festival in Antwerp. The performances were remarkable, to say the least and so were the films.
At the beginning everyone in the audience got a free hard-boiled egg, which tasted actually pretty fine. Then we saw a documentary about the post-porn scene in Barcelona. Quite heavy, I have to say.

The next one was a short film by my favourite photographer, Erwin Olaf. The last one was a film of a couple having sex, while putting eggs in the woman’s vagina, followed by her laying an egg. You could hear some uncomfortable laughs in the audience, as you can imagine. It was quite an experience.

The location of Strangelove was at the puppet theatre FroeFroe. The puppets looked all but cuddly, but I liked them nevertheless.
