Vincent’s Saturbirthday
I celebrated my birthday last Saturday night and me and my friends wanted more than just a slice of birthday cake. My first stop was Julie’s place, where Britt and Maxime were too, so it was a complete Strutter View gathering. They made delicious asian food and chocolate fondue.
After the chocolate fondue we went to the bar Dansing Chocola (Kloosterstraat 159, 2000 Antwerp). My great buddies Els, Ksenia and Gita joined us there.
The Strutter View team and Els went home after the bar. Ksenia, Gita and I were still up for a party and that’s when I first used my camera that night.

We didn’t have to go far. Our next stop: Ra13. The avant-garde concept store organized a party in honour of the Absolut Vodka collaboration with designer Gareth Pugh. Don’t you just love the four-eyed Bambi on the wall?

The Gareth Pugh vodka with coke was a perfect party starter. The fashion crowd was packed in the rather small Ra13 bar/restaurant, but the music and atmosphere were superb. At about 3 o’clock Ksenia and Gita decided to call it a night, but I didn’t. I went to the next destination: Scheld’apen! My company for that party: my good friend Tina and her great girl gang.

I had a blast at Kakbek, which was the name of the party and literally translated means ‘shit face’. The wonderful Tjerkje was there as well.
When I come to think of it, both parties had pictures of naked people against the wall. And the party crowd itself wasn’t afraid to show some skin either.

I just love birthday celebrations. Especially mine.
Vincent
