Posing for Wim Tellier

It’s official: I’ll become art! You’ll be able to see me in a photography project of Wim Tellier for the Belgian art fair Lineart. Ingrid Deuss was the art director for the shoot and is also the owner of the Border Contemporary Artzone gallery. She’ll be showing Wim Tellier’s project The Pillow in her Lineart booth.

The name ‘The Pillow’ is there for a reason. The complete shoot happened on an enormous inflatable pillow with the print of a man in his underwear. Photographer Wim Tellier shot from a crane that was placed above our heads. Four groups posed in front of – well, underneath – the camera: children, teenagers, twenty-somethings (my group) and older people.

After the photo shoot I was even allowed be on the crane myself. Since the project was happening next to the ‘Zuiderterras’ building, it looked even higher. The view was really stunning.

Wim Tellier even granted me a sneak peek of the unedited shots on his computer. Not that you can see a lot of it in the picture below, but I promise you: it looked promising.

Elise De Rijck of Swapping.be was there as well as a model. She was actually the one who contacted me. She’s such a kind and funny person.
