Grapes and Alcohol

I’m almost ashamed to admit it, but a significant part of my job involves drinking.
This ‘working week’ already started last Sunday evening with fabulous caipirinha cocktails by the Brazilian artist Carlos Carvalho, who also happens to be my boss’s husband.
And clearly he is more than a good visual artist: his caipirinhas are masterpieces of flavour. We had red fruit caipirinhas and caipirinhas with grapes, aka grapirinhas. We closed the night with some delicious Cuba Libre cocktails, made by my boss himself.
To thank them for their hospitality and alcohol, I gave them a Youtube education of Belgian music. From Get Ready to the Hickey Underworld, no censorship needed.

The next day I had the opportunity to go to Megavino for my work. It is THE wine fair of Belgium and for the first time Brazil had an own stand. For white wine I seriously recommend Virtude Chardonnay (2009) by the Brazilian winery Salton. If you’re more into red wine, you really have to try Marselan (2007) from the Identidade line by Casa Valduga.
