Sin City in Antwerp

I was completely blown away by Sin City from the first time I’ve seen it. The stories, the cast, the special effects… everything is so impressive. That’s why I was so delighted when I heard that Sin City was on the menu of Cinema Urbana.

The free open-air movie theatre at the Schelde river always has a strong selection of alternative and cult films. Julie and I also went to Any Way the Wind Blows, directed by dEUS singer Tom Barman. Our review about that motion picture is coming your way as well!

There are still two movies which I really recommend coming up at Cinema Urbana. This Wednesday you can see Gomorra, a hard based-on-facts movie about the Napolitan mob and its influence in daily life.
The other one is Good Bye Lenin!, which is screened on Thursday. I’ve seen it so many times, but the nostalgic-melancholic feeling of the film remains so beautiful.

If you are planning to go to Cinema Urbana at the Hangar 19A, Plantinkaai, don’t forget to take a beach chair or something similar with you for extra comfort. During the break there is delicious free soup for everyone, so it will be very cosy.
