Lomography
Hey everybody. As some of you might know, I’m a real gadget fan so a few months ago I couldn’t resist buying a Diana F+. A cute plastic camera by Lomography with a removable flash. It’s really light so in my opinion ideal for some fun snapshots during a city/shopping trip or a sunny afternoon.
Putting in the film is really tricky in comparison with the Yashica-Mat 6×6 TLR. It’s never tight enough so you have to be extra careful when you switch rolls or your film will be ruined due to the exposure to light. (this is what happened to my first colour film :( )

A plastic camera is totally different from your everyday camera. You can’t see through the lens like with an SLR-camera so most of the time you have to guess. That’s why the most important rule of all is: don’t think, just shoot. You’ll end up with a few surprises or unexpected results, but this makes developing your film even more exciting. Don’t buy a Diana F+ If you are a control freak when it comes to composition and settings.

I’ve tried a black&white and a colour film in my Diana F+ because I wanted to compare the two. I definitely prefer colour over black&white for the Diana F+. It’s more detailed so in my opinion better for this limited plastic camera. A few weeks ago I bought a new film so I’ll show you the result as soon as possible. The Diana F+ is a fun and cute camera so don’t expect high quality because you’ll be disappointed. I really like the vintage look of the photographs so from time to time I use this toy instead of the more advanced cameras.
