Replay Spring Summer 2012 collection

As you probably all know, we had the pleasure to go to the Replay fashion show of the Spring Summer 2012 collection yesterday! It was our first invitation as a team but sadly Vincent couldn’t join us because he is enjoying a pleasant holiday in Turkey.

Fortunately, the collection was better than expected! Denim was by all means the central character in the show. For women, the collection was classic but it drew inspiration from traditional work wear, reinterpreted to create modern and elegant shapes. The denim menswear presents t-shirts and regular shirts, as well as sweatshirts and other pieces. In the photos below you can see our 3 favourite outfits of the show, for men and women.

We definitely liked the men’s collection better then the women’s. Needless to say, there were a couple of great pieces at the women’s collection too! As you can see, our favourite men’s pieces are very dressy but still very pleasant too look at. It’s the combination that makes it work.

Our favourite Replay women creations are very feminine and romantic. A lot of opportunity to show your legs, ladies! Our favourite piece was the transparent top on the last photo. Too bad the model didn’t wear anything beneath it, so we were treated on a beautiful sight. Check out the rest of the collection below.

We have to admit that the venue was superb. Fashion Club 70 has an open and modern interior which is ideal for these kind of events. There was a separate lounge for the luxurious buffet and a showroom for the catwalk and drinks. We started our evening with an Italian walking dinner. First we had some fresh melon with Parma ham accompanied by other antipasti. There was also a selection of pasta served with parmigiano, a typical Italian hard cheese. As dessert we could choose between panna cotta or tiramisu.

The two girls you see in the pictures above are the lucky ladies who won our first contest. Lyne (curly dark hair) and Sophie both had sent us an original picture of their denim inspired look so it wasn’t hard to choose our winners. We all started with a glass of champagne by Veuve Cliquot. The Martini bar was a real eye-catcher when you entered the room. They served their fresh new cocktail Martini Rosata Royal. Beside those two drinks there was also a selection of Liefmans cocktails. Our great evening ended with a surprise act by the Belgium singer Sandrine so it was so much more than just another fashion show. Anyway, to cut the story short, we would like to say: Happy birthday Replay, We had a wonderful time!
