An Englishman in Amsterdam

A week ago I was at the Amsterdam International Fashion Week and I wore this look on Thursday. Unfortunately I didn’t make the time to photograph my outfit on that day, so here it is.
I’ve surrounded myself by some of my favourite objects. The book ‘A Short Story’ is a collection of several books, of which Julião Sarmento has selected one random page, combined with pictures. I highly recommend it.

But enough about the objects. You’re here for the outfit, right? The bowler hat is from Borsalino and is a birthday present from our Strutter View contributor Julie. I bought the black and blue checkered shirt at Eleven Paris in the lovely neighbourhood called Le Marais. The blue buttoned sweater is another acquisition from my last trip to Paris and is from Brice. The tie is from H&M and the black jeans is from Zara. I absolutely had to buy the leather COS shoes with zippers on the front. They’re certainly one of my favourite pairs of shoes.
